Dr. Nwaubani uses one or two small incisions to introduce the cannula, a device used to remove the fat. The incisions are so small — around 1.5 mm — that no stitches are necessary. 

As you heal, you may notice some darkening of the skin. However, as time goes on, your skin should heal by itself without leaving any scars.
